I do think that the abortion situation may tip the balance in Biden's favor in some of the swing districts that went for Trump in 2016. Nonetheless this article highlights many of Biden's shortcomings, and the reason that I favor RFK Jr in the primary.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts here, Zoe. I think abortion could help Biden, but there's the possibility that many now see it as a state-level issue and Trump has staked out more moderate terrain on the issue. Though I'm personally not a fan of RFK Jr., I can understand those who feel he's to the left of Biden on some welfare state and economic issues.
RFK Jr also seems to care more about environmental protection and medical freedom, though he has obviously pursued some dubious scientific theories over the years. His response to the pandemic though seemed more evidence driven and honest than that of the current administration.
I would have to revisit his comments during the pandemic. I'm not familiar with them. I was extremely disturbed by a comment he made about Anne Frank, though he correctly apologized for it.
He was referring to the digital control of information and power of the state. It was not an antisemitic comment. He has actually been accused by progressive leftists as being too pro Israel.
